I am having a love/hate relationship with Potterybarn Kids. I love that they had all my nursery decor available to order on the website after Christmas and now I hate them because they are holding my sweet son's nursery bedding hostage. It was on back order when I ordered it the first of the year and the estimated ship date was January 13th. That was fine, it gave me time to get everything else in order. Well, fast forward to today, January 20th, and Erica at customer service is telling me the ship date got moved to next week. We are having baby in four weeks people. Let's get it together and ship my bedding! Jake laughed at me last night when I told him the devastating news. He asked me why it mattered if the crib had something called a skirt. Because it just does you ninny... and yes, the baby would never forgive me if he didn't come home to his navy striped crib bumper.
Moving on to other dramatic pregnancy nonsense - my hands are swollen, my feet are swollen and my nose seems to have grown two inches wider. Nine months pregnant isn't such a pretty sight. We have our 37 week ultrasound next Wednesday to figure out if the baby is weighing in on schedule or a little larger than normal due to my gestational diabetes. I have a feeling they are going to want to induce at 38 weeks. I have no idea why I am saying this, I just have a feeling we aren't going all the way to Feb 18th. I have a lot to do at work before I hand everything over to my boss to handle while I am out on maternity leave. I am freaking out about that too. I have never been off work more than a week straight. It is going to feel very odd to miss work for 10-12 weeks. I am praying Spring comes early so that I can take full advantage of being home with baby and use that time to get some much needed fresh air and daily walks.
Oh my! I'm sure it will be here soon, but if baby decides to come before the skirt and bumper have been put into place, Jake's probably right. Baby won't mind. But I'll still keep my fingers crossed for you! :)
